Soul Kitchen is a restaurant located in Strijp-S, Eindhoven. Over the past couple of years I've been responsible for their promotional output in the form of a logo, posters, flyers, murals, promotional video's & photography. Here you can find a collection of the work I've done for them.
Based upon small graphic elements, which were painted on the large cement pillars spread across the restaurant by Audrey Werthle, we chose to use these elements as a colorful background on which the logo would be placed. To give the logo a homely mood, I made a variation in which the coloured squares were lightly scratched as if by a marker.
During the first three years after the restaurants’ opening, I designed and painted four different murals along the lines of our determined color scheme. All of the murals, except for one, show the restaurant’s staff next to frequent visitors. I chose the food to be shown in an abstract manner, in order to communicate the rich pallet of the ever-changing menu that Soul Kitchen offers their visitors.
